From Diane Setterfield's The Thirteenth Tale

People disappear when they die. Their voices, their laughter, the warmth of their breath. Their flesh. Eventually their bones. All living mempry of them ceases. This is both dreadful and natural. Yet for some there is an exception to this annihilation. For in the books they write they continut to exist. We can rediscover them. Their humour, their tone of voice, their moods. Through the written word they can anger you or make you happy. They can comfort you. They can perplex you. They can alter you. All this, even though they are dead. Like flies in amber, like corpses frozen in ice, that which according to the laws of nature should pass away is, by the miracle of ink on paper, preserved. It is a kind of magic.

Quigley is a tricky last name, but it is also very cool. I like Hayden and Olivia. I like the family names too. Is RuthE suppose to be spelled like that? Is it a family name? I like Hazel. So fun. We should talk about these baby names when I meet you in less than 2 weeks!

Thanks for getting us started Alicia!

RuthE is a family name and it's capitalized correctly. My bioligical maternal grandma's name is Ruth E. and she signed everything RuthE with the "E" as a subscript. I thin it's totally cool!

Hazel is my Paternal Grandma's name. I think it's beautiful. and Emma is my sister's name and , obviously,I think the two names together flow so well.

Scott has informed me that some of the names on his list are from left field.... but he still really realy likes Archintus.

Taking Laura a step further, I have known a person or two named Loralee. Brice Hayden and Brandon are fairly common and definitely trendy right now, as is Olivia. I really am not fond of ordinary names, but I ended up with Emily and Claire. Archiantus may be a bit too much to the other side. If you called him Arc, though...There is a connotation of lean curves, a strong, manly frame, maybe even archangel.
